Dear AMAC members,
On Sunday, July 2, our founding member, Dr. Zeljka Matutinovic died in a scooter accident at Martha's Vineyard. Her fiance, Dr. Josko Silobrcic, of Boston, Massachusetts suffered heavy injuries, but he is currently out of life danger and is being treated at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.

Her excellent carrier aside, Zeljka was a wonderful person, warm, always ready to help, full of life, an excellent skier, accomplished pianist, speaker of many languages, interested in everything and everybody.
Her parents, and many, many friends survive her, and will never forget her.
The Memorial Mass for Zeljka Matutinovic will be held on July 18, 7 PM, at the Croatian Church in New York [ 41st Street and 10th Avenue].
On Saturday, July 8, my wife Connie and I visited Zeljka's family at their home in Zagreb. Many relatives and friends have gathered there in this time of grief.
Zeljka's funeral will take place on Wednesday, July 12, at 3 Pm at Mirogoj cemetery. We discussed with the family ways to honor Zeljka's life and to keep her memory alive. The family wishes to establish a charitable fund, which will support Croatian students who study abroad, just like Zeljka once did at Princeton.
